Seed round for Minio

Minio (www.minio.io), recent S3 compatible open source object storage vendor, just announced its seed round for an amount of $3.3M coming from Nexus Ventures Partners and General Catalyst plus, it is in fact the interesting part, Jerry Yang's AME Cloud Ventures, Index Ventures, Mark Leslie, Brin Stevens, Ben Golub, Lanham Napier and Andrew Feldman, all famous names we don't need to present.

In addition to Ceph and Swift, Minio is the third key open source object storage on the market, I consider others as secondary plays. We hope to meet them soon during an IT Press Tour to learn more about the product, strategy and team behind the project.
