Clearly the idea is to add TCP in addition to FC, and RDMA supporting IB, RoCE and iWARP as it represents a simple, ubiquitous, standard and cost effective way to transport data over a network. Obvious point as Ethernet network is everywhere and already deployed by enterprises, NVMe/TCP has a great future.
Lightbits Labs cooks something around NVMe/TCP
Lightbits Labs, an emerging player in NVMe over Fabrics, continues its campaign promoting the TCP transport for NVMe. Its co-founder and CTO Muli Ben-Yehuda delivered an interesting presentation during the recent FMS conference, we invite you to read it below. Lightbits joins Excelero who delivered a NVMe pitch at FMS 2015. Remember I was the first to write a post about Excelero in May 2016 following their appearance at MSST.

Lightbits Labs joins the small group of NVMe storage pioneers with Apeiron, DSSD now EMC, E8, Excelero, FlashGrid and Mangstor. We also heard about other initiatives and projects on the market.
