Lightbits Labs, an emerging player in NVMe/TCP storage, delivered an interesting presentation during the recent FMS conference. The company continues its journey towards standardization of NVMe over TCP to reduce cost of storage infrastructure and real scalability.
The main idea is the disaggregation of compute and storage to allow independent scalability between these 2 entities to better follow business needs and associated IT requirements.
Even if the presentation uses similar slides from last year, we feel some new maturity level from the company and one of these is the new logo.
We also discovered a SSD storage array with a Lightbits Labs sticker on it, on page 24, that invite us to think about the development of such device in addition to the NVMe/TCP software. We'll see in the future. Definitely a company to follow closely.
