The cloud strategy has been addressed for a long time with the AWS integration to extend the on-premise strategy then GCP and now Azure. It was essentially the availability of Qumulo Q on AWS and GCP with easy subscription for the marketplace and natively integrated. Now on Azure this approach goes beyond , first branded as Qumulo on Azure As-a-Service and second fully integrated with Azure Services framework. The team makes grate effort to be cloud agnostic supporting also of course on-premise deployment promoting a sort of ubiquity approach for file storage qualifying Qumulo to be a U3 - Universal, Unified and Ubiquitous - solution.
This Azure offering is very strategic for Qumulo as Azure already promotes several file storage offerings coming from Avere or NetApp and their own product of course.
Qumulo confirms its position and being in the radar by several potential acquirers even Microsoft but below $2B don't expect any positive decision.
